Let’s have some fun. I work in radio here in Boston and recently I talked about Gronk putting a dent in the Lombardi trophy. I said “He plays too much” and fans were ready to fight! Look, I said what I said, but the reaction further proves that some athletes here in Boston can never do wrong. They are literally “untouchable.” There’s Nothing they can do or say that will cause the fans to question them ever!
Here are my top 3 Boston “Untouchable” athletes of all time!
#3. David Ortiz: One thing that all 3 on my list have in common is winning championships. Ortiz had/has the swag, big game moments, leadership and championships to allow him to do whatever, whenever he wants in Boston.
#2. Rob Gronkowski: He’s a “Big Kid” and the people love him for it. Gronk in my opinion has done a remarkable job at setting himself up for life after football and part of that is his persona. He plays around a lot, parties, might show up at a WWE event, but at the end of the day he’s entertaining. Add on a few championships and his willingness to party with the people and he can do no wrong.
#1. Tom Brady: Brady to me is strictly about his greatness on the field. Only recently have we been allowed to get a glimpse into his personal life and his sense of humor, but when you’re called “The GOAT” you’ll get a hall pass for just about anything.
Who’s on your list? What 3 Professional Boston sports athletes are simply…..”Untouchable”? Rank them too!
